Gautam Rajpal
Founder & CEO
MyNavigationPath began with a simple realization: many patients and families are forced to become their own medical researchers during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
In 2021, Gautam helped a close friend's mother navigate a breast cancer diagnosis. Drawing on his background in cellular and molecular biology, he created educational materials to help her understand the diagnosis, treatment options, and medical terminology that often felt overwhelming.
During the process, he discovered important testing and treatment considerations that had not yet been discussed. Soon afterward, another friend facing a glioblastoma diagnosis reached out for help. Once again, Gautam found himself researching medical literature, identifying potential testing opportunities, and helping a family better understand their options.
What started as helping friends quickly revealed a larger problem.
Patients and families are often left trying to connect information from physicians, specialists, laboratories, research studies, and online resources. Even highly educated people can struggle to understand complex medical information while coping with the stress of a serious diagnosis.
Gautam founded MyNavigationPath to help bridge that gap.
Today, MyNavigationPath helps patients and caregivers better understand diagnoses, genetic testing, treatment options, clinical trials, and emerging medical research so they can have more informed conversations with their healthcare teams.
